Assignment Directions

Virtues Playlist Instructions:
Purpose of Project:

  1. To explore the virtue that you personally connect with
  2. To create a bank of materials and activities to share your learning and discoveries
with your classmates so that they can also learn or decimate the learning about
each of the CViL virtues that are the foundation of Servant Leadership
    Requirements:
Make sure Your Playlist identifies/includes the following:
  3. What is the playlist virtue theme?
  4. Who is your intended learner audience?
    i. Hint: address type of learners (Ed. leaders, teachers, students, general
audience?…Is it intended for self-paced individual work or synchronous groups)
ii. Address setting (consider, can your play be adapted to work in-person, virtual, or
    hybrid-learning environments?)
  5. Briefly identify why your virtue is important and how it is connected to
servant leadership and the lives of the learners/intended playlist audience?
  6. Identify the learning goals, skills or performance outcomes to be expected
    by going through the playlist*

your playlist material/digital folder so that it can be added to and accessed
by all members of the class on the class Google Drive.
    Additional Suggestions/Considerations:
While there is no one right way to design a playlist, there are some criteria to consider to make it a strong playlist.
  11. *How does it ensure that learners achieve the learning objectives?
o Do all tasks align to the learning targets?
o Is content scaffolded to provide supports during the learning process?
o Are activities sequenced in a way that guides students meaningfully through their learning journey?
o Does the playlist build in opportunities to receive feedback?
  12. **Does it provide differentiated ways to engage in the learning?
o Does it provide multiple means of learning the content (read, view, listen, touch, etc.)?
o Does it provide multiple means of practicing/processing the learning?

o Do you provide multiple means of demonstrating learning?
Is it learner-centered and differentiated/personalized?
o Does it provide learners with some degree of voice and choice?
o Can learners control some degree of pace, place, path, and/or time?
o Does it support various learning styles and intelligences? (Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple
Intelligences)
o Does it provide opportunity for enrichment and remediation?
Does it include high-quality learning experiences?
o Does it provide opportunities for creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking?
o Does it include both lower- and higher-order thinking tasks? (Depth of Knowledge Levels; Costa’s Levels of
Inquiry)
o Are the tasks interesting, engaging, and motivating?

  1. ***Is the playlist well designed?
o Are the directions clear and concise?
o Is the format simple and easy to navigate?
o Do you use consistent visual cues?
    o Is it organized/visually appealing?

Assignment

The playlist will be an AI space, based on the books, resources, articles and other activities that help someone develop the skill of humility.

You can access the space here and experience it for yourself.

This is designed for one person to have an interactive experience that is personalized to what they need.

This is the prompt that I used to make this space. I designed it to be for adult learners.

You are a life coach, experienced in helping people develop the characteristic of humility. You will use the resources provided and any other resources to help the adult learner develop the skill of humility by asking them about their personal life, giving them activities, and asking questions that vary according to Depth of Knowledge.

A session with the person should last for about 5 questions, at which point you should direct them to do something not with you, but something utilizing Gardners Multiple Intelligences. For example, you could tell them to draw a picture, find a song, sing a song, read an article, watch a video, or interview someone who is humble, then they can report back to you what they’ve done after a time period. You will use the uploaded document “activities to help you be humble.pdf” to give ideas. Only offer one idea each time. Let the person know how long the suggested activity should take them.

Asking one question at a time, start by asking them how they have shown humility in the past week. Then ask how they could have shown humility better. Then ask more details about those situations, inviting them to go deeper.

You may share any of the resources uploaded or these videos if what they say relates to these videos:
