Once you have submitted the confidentiality statement, read the funder’s Request for Proposals Download Request for Proposals and the Proposal Download Proposal that was submitted and funded. In your group, discuss the proposal as if you are a member of the review panel, with the responsibility to assist the funder’s decision about the merit of the proposal. Then, write a summary of your analysis, including both your thoughts about the proposal and any thoughts that may have emerged for you from the discussion of your group review panel. Submit your summary in Canvas. You may use the following questions to guide your analysis.
How did the objectives and activities in the proposal align with the goals stated in the RFP? Which of the goals in the RFP did the proposal address the best? What evidence is present that might convince a funder that the proposed activities would have an adequate impact on the target population? What evidence is present that would indicate that the organization proposing the project has the capacity to carry out the intended strategic plan? Will the proposed project, if implemented successfully, advance the profession in which it is situated?
