Outline of Statistical Hypothesis Test
This is the general outline of a statistical hypothesis test. You should have all of these components anytime you conduct an one of these tests.
- Research Question
- Descriptive Statistics & Normality Assumption
- Ho: Null hypothesis Ha: Alternative Hypothesis
- Type 1 error rate = 0.05
- Decision Rule: If p-value < 0.05 then reject Ho, otherwise do not reject Ho
- Conclusion and Interpretation
